Chapter Ten left us with the sudden betrayal of everyone Damian thought he could trust.
Now, with only two remaining members of the Teen Titans left standing, the ultimate game is revealed. Who has been pulling the strings, all along?
“I’m a screw-up. Always have been.”
Titans #9
I’ll never get over how much of a proud daddy Roy is. He literally takes every opportunity available to talk about his baby girl.

“Don’t make me hurt you, West.”

I’m really just posting this because Roy knows a stripper named Lucy. AW YEAH. I’M IN COMIC BOOKS!!!
Restoration ch. 1
Chapter one of this story that I’m kind of half-writing, half throwing together from a bunch of ideas I’ve had. I’ve spoken about my ideal new Teen Titans team several times, but in case you’ve missed my many posts, here’s the new roster: Damian Wayne (Robin), Iris West (Impulse), Lian Harper (Arsenal; Mia’s still Speedy), Maxine Baker (Fauna), Milagro Reyes (Green Lantern), Chris Kent (Superboy; Conner gave him the name and now has a new one), Sin Lance (Jade Canary- although I’m tempted to just have her go by “Sin” alone) and Jai West (their non-superpowered mascot!).
Damian is about 17ish here, so age everyone else up accordingly. In this universe, yes, Dick went back to Nightwing but Stephanie is still Batgirl. Also Lian Harper never died, and Chris Kent’s out of the Phantom Zone (obviously). And as I mentioned, Milagro is a Green Lantern. But other than that, there aren’t any major changes to canon.
If I actually end up writing this for any decent amount of time, expect the story to be epic. And I mean that seriously - it’s going to be a gamechanger. For all of these new Teen Titans, and for the Justice League as well, because every single member on this new incarnation of the Teen Titans is related to a Justice Leaguer in one way or another.
I’ve posted most of this first chapter before but here’s the whole completed thing :)
Enjoy!

“No – Roy – I can’t-”
“Yes, you can. Of course you can. You were trained by Batman, man! You can do anything!”
“I – I don’t – not this, not now, not anymore-”
“You’re not meant to be all by yourself, Dick. That’s not you. Just try it out, okay? It’ll make you feel better.”
“No! No I…I don’t know why I expected you to understand. You don’t. You can’t.”
“Then help me! Help me, man, so I can help you! Jesus! Just let me do something, I can’t stand it, just sitting here and watching you self-destruct, I can’t do it, won’t do it. So suck it up and join the goddamn team.”
“No! You don’t get it! It’s not just – it’s Donna, Roy, it was Donna this time and that means we can’t - I can’t…”
“You think I don’t know that? You think I didn’t love her?”
“No – I-”
“You know what, Dick? You’re a baby. You’re a selfish little baby. You can be as nice as you want most of the time, but when things start going wrong, you shut everyone out. You shut everyone out. Even me. Even me, man, and I’m trying so hard to – I just want you – I just need you to be okay, man, I just need to make sure that you – that you-”
He fell silent, a hot mouth pressed onto his.
“I know, I know. Roy, I know. I know.”
“Shit, Dick, I-”
“I – I just-”
“It’s okay,” breathed Roy, and he let Dick cling to him, trembling. “It’s okay, Dick. It’s okay.”
When Dick opened his eyes, there was sunlight streaming in the window. For a second he didn’t move, staring up at the ceiling above him. He didn’t usually leave the blinds undrawn at night. He hadn’t last night, if he remembered right – which he did, despite the whirlwind of emotions and limbs and bodies and feelings that had clouded his mind and his judgment. Which meant that somebody had to get up and open them, after he’d fallen asleep.
There was a warm weight beside him. Their legs touched, from his knees touching the side of Dick’s leg to his feet, tangled up in Dick’s. Without a word, Dick shifted his head to the side, locking eyes with the man lying next to him.
“Morning, shortpants,” said Roy, grinning.
Dick blinked. “How long have you been up?”
“A while,” replied Roy. “Long enough to open some windows and start the coffee. I couldn’t find any clean mugs so I took some out of the dishwasher. Which looks like it hasn’t been run in two weeks. So I took care of that.”
Dick raised an eyebrow. “You did my dishes?”
Roy tilted his head slightly, giving as much of a shrug as he could, lying on his side in bed. “Don’t worry about it, man. We’re there. We’re at that point.” He leaned in and kissed the crown of Dick’s head, giving him a gentle pat on cheek as he did so; then, sitting up, he yawned, stretching his arms into the air, his back arching. “This is why you shouldn’t be living alone,” he continued. “You’d never clean anything if you didn’t have to.”
“Hey,” said Dick, sarcastic but amused, “if you don’t like it, you could always just leave.”
Roy glanced back at him. Then he looked away and, quietly, said, “I almost did.”
There was a silence. Neither of them moved. And then Dick sat up as well, reaching out and touching Roy’s back. “Thank you,” he said. “For staying.”
