Our parents suffer so. (She’s probably upset because your sis just left home and you’re leaving in about a year. My mom went through this when I left for college. And I’m the baby of the family so it was REALLY BAD.)
yeah, what with visiting home this summer and everything my mom’s got it especially bad. She went to set up my sister in college for like a week and it was kind of a disaster, I hear. Lots of weeping. I’m a lot better at handling my mother’s inherent weepiness than I used to be (we were all pretty dickish to her after we moved; she was extremely weepy then and it infuriated all of us, considering how much she wanted the move)
she has some mega issues with her own childhood and leaving home experience and so it’s really extra hard for her and yeah, Emily JUST left and I’m a year behind her and Emily and I are both going to be really far away, back in California, while my mom’s all the way out here. So.

My mom get worse every year. Ever since she moved to Florida, she’s been trying to persuade me to follow her. She burst into tears when I showed her my business cards. And I feel bad because I really can’t comfort her weeping anymore. :|
