So in the Adventures of Huckleberry Finn

Would the “belly of the whale,” representing the final separation between Huck’s old self and new self, be when he fakes his death? Or that final fight during the Grangerfords and Shepherdsons ordeal? The Belly of the Whale represents the final stage in the departure, and Huck faking his own death would fall into that.

No. That’s the crossing of the first threshold and then the Grangerfords and Shepherdsons are the Belly of the Whale? Finding the dead man in the house, wouldn’t that qualify as the Crossing of the First Threshold?

About

Hi. I'm Lucy. I'm from California but I'm living in England right now. I really like fictional characters. I really, really like them.

I follow way too many people and my posts are numerous and generally boring. Be my friend anyway?

I hope they announce Finnick Odair’s casting and he’s played by Lucy Liu.
