So we’re doing this self-portrait in art, and it’s supposed to be our face and then something that represents us in the background. I’m doing the HB pier (my home city) and what also really interests me is fading the sky into darkness and making stars. I don’t know if I can do that, but I think it’d be really good.
I started this in class today and took it home to work on it more since I missed all of last week /: I really enjoy drawing, even if I’m no good at it. But anyway my point is that my face looked really weird, so I moved the eyes down a little bit and I think it looks way better. What do you think?

Looks better with them moved down. For the sky, you can get a gradation by dragging the side of the lead along the top and easing the pressure as you go down, or vice versa. It’d be easier with a woodless pencil if you have one.
